Timetable for mod_placehere developement

I’m currently much overworked and have no time for module developement. However I’ll go on a much needed vacation by the end of June, and since fiddeling with Joomla modules is something I do in my free time I will work on the mod_placehere thingy while I’m away. I’m not promising much, but I will finally include a paging option and see that the thing works with Joomla 1.6 (which at the moment it probably doesn’t – I admit I haven’t tested this yet).

    1. Hi Mindy, I will look into that. As a stop gap measure I recommend you set display_errors to no in you php.ini and redirect error messages to a log file (to display errors on an production server is considered a security problem).

    2. HI, Eike.
While you are fiddling with placehere, please note that when using the front-end editing feature of joomla, an error shows up at the location of each placehere module. It doesn’t hurt anything, but it is disturbing to the clients who are editing the web site content.

This is the error seen with in editing mode on the front end: Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$groups in C:\wamp\www\components\com_content\helpers\icon.php on line 122

As a developer, I would not want an editor to be able to edit the contents of a placehere module. The error seems to indicate the edit icon won’t show up? or something similar.

If there is already a fix for this, I would love to know what it is.

Thanks for this great module. I use it often.
