Great to hear that the thing still works. I’ll be doing a Joomla Project in the near future which should be excuse enough to work on a version native to J! 2.5.

Thanks a lot for your module, I’m using it now for years.
Works nicely on my site with Joomla 2.5.4. (output mode: div or raw template, template:default).

I have used your great module in joomla1.5 with an article with Jcomments on in your module. However in Joomla 2.5 and Jcomments 2.3.0 the article shows only the tag {jcomments on} in stead of the comments. The rest of the module is working ok

Still a great and versatile module! By the way, the J!ED entry is outdated. Please update the info

Eike, I know you got married and the world is a troubled place… still, will there be any progress on this essential extension?
I think I speak for many readers when I say that we all thank you for your dedicated work!

The module is working for me on Joomla! 1.7 as well!
Comment by MÃ¥rten — September 14, 2011 @ September 14, 2011 2:08 pm
The placehere module has saved me numerous times.
A fantastic module, Bravo.
I have used it for joomla 1.5 many times.
However, the version 1.6 is not working for me on a new joomla 1.6 site i’m working on. The article is not displayed at all. The space looks empty.

I’m a big fan of Mod Place Here! I use it extensively on my website.
I wonder when a Joomla 1.7 version will be available?

Just wanted to say thank you for building such a great tool which helped me out on so many occasions. Great job!
Comment by Anton — August 2, 2011 @ August 2, 2011 3:46 pm
I used this plugin and it worked perfectly. Nice job. Iron out whatever bugs other users find and it will be just as good as the other j15 version.
Congratulations! I hope the honeymoon is not over and never is!!!

Hi Eike, Great module use it all the time! And congrats with your marriage, hope you still find the time to make such great stuff!
In the 1.6 version the function to put each article in a seperate div doesn’t seem to work. Looked at the code and the contentarray[] seems to have length 1 all the time, instead of the number of articles..
So it only goes through the for loop in buildDivsfromArray() once.
Hope you can find a solution, if i find one i’ll let you know.

IE 9 bug, module is not sizing right in IE 9, all other browsers seem to work fine. Extra space is being added to all modules even some with scroll bars where none is needed.

hi I’m a joomla beginner and want to thank you so much for this module. I’ve downloaded the module for 1.6, but I’ve never installed a module before. Could you let me know which files to install (through Extension Manager I assume). Thanks very much
Comment by JD — May 21, 2011 @ May 21, 2011 9:09 pm
Hi Andras, yes, thank you ! Alas I am currently unable to reproduce the bug (unless I set “show intro only” to yes and I have an empty teaser text, which I presume is not what you’re doing). I hope I will make some progress over the easter holidays.

Hi Eike, I’ve sent you my settings by e-mail on tuesday, have you got it?
Comment by Andras — April 21, 2011 @ April 21, 2011 9:29 am
Hi Andras, Lee, can one of you send me a screenshot with your module settings ?
Comment by Eike — April 18, 2011 @ April 18, 2011 8:17 pm
Same problem for me. If I add a fake article ID it shows me a text “Articl’s not found”, other case, nothing appears, even in source code.
Comment by Andras — April 18, 2011 @ April 18, 2011 2:33 pm
For some reason, the article text doesn’t display for me, everything else does though.
Does anyone have this problem?
Comment by Lee — April 14, 2011 @ April 14, 2011 10:04 pm
Thank you very much. Now everything works perfect!
Sorry
Comment by Arno — April 6, 2011 @ April 6, 2011 10:45 am
Hi Arno, there is a setting to enable/disable plugins. Did you check this and plugins don’t work anyway ?
Comment by Eike — April 6, 2011 @ April 6, 2011 9:53 am
The module works fine with Joomla 1.6, but there is a little problem. Content plugins (eg. mavick thumbnails) don’t work!
That’s a pity.
Comment by Arno — April 6, 2011 @ April 6, 2011 9:19 am
Very very thankful to find this module!!!
I have to display articles in module positions very often, so thanks a lot!!
Comment by Theresia — March 30, 2011 @ March 30, 2011 4:51 pm
I agree with Jas, your module couldn’t have come at a better time. Was very sad to see the module “Article as module” doesn’t work with 1.6 but your thing saved me. I used it to insert the animated gif at the right pane, encountered no problems with it. Thanks!
Comment by Sebastian — March 26, 2011 @ March 26, 2011 4:26 am
Nice one Eike, fantastic timing, I was looking for something that would give me the place here functionality in 1.6 so that I could get category descriptions edited from the front end for a page showing list of articles in a category.
Seems to work fine for me and running plugins is working fine with the plugins I use. Look forward to seeing updates!
J
